Dual coloured scoured rare breed fleece

Description

Fleece from the rare breed sheep I keep – Boreray (white) and Castlemilk moorit (light brown) – which has been professionally scoured & inadvertently mixed.

Makes a lovely dual coloured handspun knitting yarn.

Needs to be carded for hand spinning.

Also good for felting.

Naturally coloured, undyed.

Boreray Sheep are the descendants of the domestic sheep which were kept by on St. Kilda in the Scottish highlands.

Castlemilk Moorit sheep were bred by the late Sir Jock Buchanan-Jardine on his Castlemilk Estate in Dumfriesshire, Scotland.
